Conneaut Valley Lions Club

The Conneaut Valley Lions Club is one of the ten’s of thousands of Lions Club worldwide.  It was established in 1947 as the Springboro & Vicinity Lions Club and the club’s name was later changed to meet the needs of a larger community.

The Conneaut Valley Lions Club has a proud tradition of service including raising money to build a house, renovating an old school into the Springboro Community Center, and sponsoring the formation of other Lions Clubs in Edinboro and Conneaut Lake.

Our fundraisers include a Spaghetti dinner served near Valentine’s day, Sausage Sandwiches served during the Conneautville Homecoming, occasional Pancake breakfasts and raffles, and White Cane Day.

Who are Lions?

Lions are the world’s largest international volunteer service organization.

Lions are an international network of 1.3 million men and women in 202 countries and geographic areas who work together to answer the needs that challenge communities around the world.

Known for working to end preventable blindness, Lions participate in a vast variety of projects important to their communities. These projects range from cleaning up local parks to providing supplies to victims of natural disasters.

Beginning in 1917, the association of Lions clubs has provided millions of people with the opportunity to give something back to their communities.
