The Conneaut Valley Lions club is proud to announce the recipients of our 2011 scholarships:

Forrest M. Meola from Conneaut Valley High School was awarded a $500 academic scholarship.  Forrest has been accepted at Edinboro University and he plans to major in Psychology.  Forrest is also a member of the Conneaut Valley Lions Club.

Anthony Summers from Conneaut Valley School was awarded a $500 academic scholarship.  Anthony has been accepted at the University of Pittsburgh at Bradford.  He plans to major in Psychology.

Jacob Conley from Conneaut Valley School was awarded a $500 academic scholarship.  Jacob has been accepted at Indiana University of Pennsylvania.  He plans to major in Pharmacy.

Congratulations to this years' scholarship recipients.  These scholarships are just one way We Serve.

The Conneaut Valley Lions Club will be holding their 23rd Annual Valentine's Spaghetti Dinner on Sunday, February 13, 2011 from 11:30 AM to 4:00 PM. The Spaghetti Dinner will be held at the Saint Peter Social Hall at 501 Washington Street in Conneautville. Adults are $6.00, Seniors and Children Under 12 are $4.00, and Children Under 6 are Free. The proceeds of this fundraiser benefit Conneaut Valley Lions Club Sight Projects.

The Conneaut Valley Lions Club will be selling Sausage Sandwiches at the Conneaut Valley Homecoming. This annual fundraiser is important for support our club's community service efforts. Please help us and treat yourself to one of our famous sausage sandwiches. This is the only time of the year when you can get one.

On Saturday, September 18, 2010 the Conneaut Valley Lions Club and the Conneaut Lake Lions Club will be sponsoring a wellness program at the Conneaut Lake Fire Department. AMBA Blood Screening, as well as Glaucoma Screening and Blood Pressure Testing will be offered for the $35 AMBA Blood Screening fee plus a $5 donation at the door to the Lions. Several optional tests are available for an additional fee with a separate script from a Physician.

This is a unique opportunity to have your blood and eye health checked for a very low fee. Even if you have insurance, the cost of this screening is much lower than most deductibles. If you don't have insurance, these tests would normally cost much more.

Appointments are made directly with AMBA by calling 1-800-234-8888. These appointments will be scheduled between 6:30 AM and 10:30 AM on September 18. Please have your Physician's name and address available when you call for your appointment. If you have additional questions, you can contact Steve Torres with the Conneaut Valley Lions Club at 282-1411 or Tom Barnett with the Conneaut Lake Lions Club at 282-4916.

Lion Don McFaden was awarded a pin for his 50-years of service to the Lions.  Don is actively involved in the Conneaut Valley Lions club and greatly contributes to the success of club projects and fundraisers.

Sean M. Foltz from Conneaut Valley High School was awarded a $500 academic scholarship.  Sean plans to attend Edinboro University and major in Criminal Justice.

Samantha Pogel from Linesville High School was awarded a $500 academic scholarship.  Samantha has been accepted at Robert Morris, Gannon, and Washington & Jefferson.  She plans to major in Biomedical Engineering.

The Conneaut Valley Lions Club is raffling a quilt to raise money to help the family of Abby Breckenridge get a handicap accessible van. Abby suffers from Spina Bifida and would benefit greatly from a van that could handle her wheel chair.

Tickets are available from any Lions member. Tickets are $2 for 1 ticket, $5 for 4 tickets or $10 for 7 tickets. The drawing will be held Saturday, July 25, 2009. The Conneaut Valley Lions have donated the quilt and 100% of the proceeds benefit Abby.
